The rules change on 1 April 2027

Rent increases for Scottish tenancies, right first time.

Every tenancy's next review date in one list, a check that each notice is valid before it goes out, and the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025 changes built in on the day they start.

What it does

Every review date

See which tenancies can have a rent increase, and the earliest date the new rent can start, without a spreadsheet.

Valid before it goes

Checks the 12-month rule, 3 months' notice with time for posting, and warns before a notice goes by text or WhatsApp, which isn't valid.

New rules on their dates

30 days for the tenant to refer, the rent officer cap, Rent Control Areas when councils name them.
