Oakdesk / Concept projectsExplore the thinking behind the design.
Three fictional businesses. Three different visitor needs. These self-initiated concepts show how we approach layout, content and the next action.
These are demonstration projects, with illustrative content. They are not commissioned client work, and we have no measured business results to report.

Self-initiated conceptGarage website concept
The brief
Make it easy for a driver to find the right service and explain what their vehicle needs.
The design decision
Place the workshop’s core services near the main enquiry action. Use strong contrast and short headings for scanning on a phone.
The visitor’s next step
A visible service request gives visitors a clear next step after reading about MOTs, repairs or servicing.
A production build would need the garage’s real services, hours and contact details. Workshop availability and booking integrations would be agreed separately. CLEARWELL / CONCEPTA cleaner space. A simpler start.Ask for a quote ↗
Self-initiated conceptCleaning company website concept
The brief
Help a potential customer work out whether the business covers their property and cleaning needs.
The design decision
Group information around property type and cleaning frequency. Keep the quote request close to the service information.
The visitor’s next step
A visitor can explore the service and begin describing the work, giving the cleaner useful context for a quote.
A production build would use real service areas, insurance details and supplied work photographs. Any pricing calculator would need agreed business rules. EMBER / CONCEPTGood food. An evening to remember.Explore the menu ↗
Self-initiated conceptRestaurant website concept
The brief
Let a visitor quickly understand the food and atmosphere, then find a menu or the next step towards a visit.
The design decision
Use warm colours, menu cues and a clear food-led headline. Keep the menu action visible within the opening view.
The visitor’s next step
The page puts the food and menu together, so visitors can explore what is served before deciding to get in touch.
A production build would need real menus, allergens, opening times and photography. Live table availability would require a booking integration. Start with your business.
